A Letter To The Person Who Feels Less Than

Simple steps to a healthier you

“We all face moments in life when we dislike ourselves. Maybe you are awkward and feel embarrassed about who you are, maybe you say the wrong things sometimes, maybe you don’t say enough, maybe your friend has prettier hair than you… I mean, the list could on.

In a world of comparison, there is no limit to the discontent that we can hold for ourselves. And do you want to know the worst part? We don’t even realize that we feel this way sometimes.

Honestly, I didn’t realize how discontent I was with myself for years. This lack of understanding is a very real phenomenon. And although it may seem easier to just avoid any negative feelings you hold towards yourself, it isn’t. It may seem that way at first – after all, ignorance is bliss – but later on down the road, you will find that you simply aren’t happy. It doesn’t matter where you move, it doesn’t matter what your job is, it doesn’t matter who you date, because the truth is that it isn’t the world or the people around you. The problem is you. The problem is that you have a problem with yourself.

Friends, I share this piece of my personal writing with you, not to drag you down, but to inspire you to find love for who you are.

You are truly amazing and you are on this earth for a good reason. If you don’t believe me, believe what God says about you.

Please feel free to copy this image! Use it as your lock screen on your phone, print it out and put it on your bathroom mirror, or just meditate and pray on these verses. No matter what you do, though, know that you are so important and that you are never less than. The world wouldn’t be the same without you in it.

With love,

Kels
